Bristol Rope Space (POC friendly)

Mission Statement

Bristol Rope Space aims to provide a safe inclusive environment for all people to access rope education and to practice their rope skills. The focus is on building fundamental skills and the development of safe, sane and consensual rope practice. This is a space to develop self awareness and express ourselves in rope in its many forms, in accordance with the rules. Bristol Rope Space welcomes people of colour, LGBTQ+ people, people with visible or hidden disabilities and anyone otherwise marginalised from society.

The evening will consist of a class on the fundamentals of rope play, a Q&A, followed by a demonstration of a popular tie, and time to practice. Classes take place in a well lit studio space near Central Bristol, that is accessible and well resourced. Details shared of precise location on purchase of your ticket.

Upcoming Events

In 2023/4, I’ll be teaching the my 3 rope fundamental rope classes and 2 new intermediate classes on the dates below. I am also squeezing in an opportunity to celebrate my 50th birthday with previous attendees also.

There is an opportunity to buy discounted copies of my books The Kink Embrace and New Bonds at my events.

Intermediate Classes

These classes are only for people that have previously attended at least one of my Foundations classes (or completed a similar course elsewhere). Hi , I’m know nothing about rope play but curious to learn more. I would be attending alone – is this unusual? And when would be a good session for a beginner? Many thanks ! Pete.

Thank you for your query. Yes, it’s suitable for beginners and more experienced alike. We have beginners join us all the time. You are welcome to attend any of our events. There’s one spot left, so book soon!

Yes, all couples are welcome. It is related to shibari, as I touch upon the classical elements. My approach is more integrative with Western practices of rope bondage.

Hi, are there any spaces left for the foundation classes listed above?
Im a total beginner with limited experience with some self ties.
If the classes are full, is it likely there will be more like in the future?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m a single female who would like to book your fundermental courses. I noticed the first is sold out is it OK to miss one? Or may I please be put on the reserve list for it. Thanks

Hi. Yes, it’s ok to miss the first one. Each class stands alone and contains a lot of information to take away. I am happy to put you in my reserve list. Please email me at so I have your contact details. Many thanks
